This stunning piece is made by CRO Furniture, a Sydney-based manufacturer founded by Claude Robert Ogden (C.R.O.), who was a prominent player in the post-war furniture scene, especially known for its mid-century modern designs. CRO's specialty was in Danish-style furniture, popularising this aesthetic in Australia. The company operated in Marrickville, NSW, and operated from 1908 - 1969. They specialised in Danish-style furniture, adapting the modern Scandinavian design which showcases clean lines and simple designs.
Given their pieces are still circulating so many years later, you know they are quality pieces for your home. This piece has been transformed using a dark charcoal hue and a Jacobean stain for the base to make it perfect for any modern home.

Our pieces are refinished using the best professional grade primers, paints, oils and top coats, sprayed through a professional spray gun for a beautiful finish. Our painted pieces have 2 coats of stain blocking primer, 2 coats of adhesion primer, and 3 coats of a water based acrylic paint for a hardwearing finish on your statement piece.
Our restored to vintage pieces are gently stripped and sanded back, and are oiled multiple times using top quality professional grade products.
Occasionally we sell pieces in their original vintage condition to preserve the mid century patina, or if the piece only required minor conservative restorations.
